Gold crown snooker table?

I recently seen a GC snooker table and got me wondering if it could be converted to a pool table? I'm assuming it would need different rails or major mods to get the pool style cushions to work considering the difference in ball size and cushion profiles?

Anyone know anything about the GC snooker tables?

Mark G. is the only person that comes to mind. You would end up having "X" amount of loot just in the rail work. I don't deal with him or know what his prices would be. He is one of the best at rail work.

I have a 9' Centennial Snooker that I been considering the same option. The rails are in great condition and being they are Brazilian Rosewood, it has crossed my mind to ask Jack Z. if he would consider the rail rebuild. I know the castings are smaller, but, via this forum I read somewhere that they also can be used. I thought the castings had to be swapped out, which is not a biggie: I have plenty of extra parts.

If you got the table really cheap, it might be something worth looking into. Is it a 9' or 10'?? People have practically tried to give me 10' snooker annys before and I won't take them because no one wants a 10' table. Food for thought though.

I thought it was 9' but could have been a 10'. They wanted more than I wanted to pay at the time for a snooker table. I figured it would take a fair amount of work and money to convert it. That was a couple of years ago and just thought of it again and thought it might be another option to look for.

There was one at the Bowl Mor bowling alley in Colorado Springs for decades, golf game Every day. 5' x 10'

You need to do rail and pocket work. You don't have to go all-out perfectionist to do it. Used to be one locally that played great. They didn't pay an arm-n-a-leg to get the conversion done. The golf table at Magoo's here in Tulsa has pool profile rails with TINY rounded pockets. Strictly a golf table. Work on this table was done by a guy in OkCity for not a lot of $$. Tough table.

Can you get the guy who did it to give us some info?? I would give it a go if I had some info to base my work off of. I usually can come up with a decent outcome with an example. Thanks
