It depends on who you ask...
I'd choose the 3 over the 1 if I had a choice. GC 3 feet are adjustable,I prefer the -GC3-floating nut plate over the figure 8 rail plate(GC1), the aprons are much easier to work with on a GC3,the cushions are k55 on the GC3 and can be replaced rather than the antique GC1 monarch cushions that are not current and no longer in production, a GC3 most likely has fewer recovers,good chance the GC3 has slate rather than the good possibility that the GC1 is brunstone...
If you handed me cash and told me to bring you back a good GC but obviously not a new GC5....I'd return with a decent GC4.
Best of luck, all tables are only in as good of shape as they were serviced and maintained.
