Gold Letter era JOSS logos lining up

Just a question for some of the cue makers in here... If you have a gold letter era Joss shaft and butt, however the logos don't line up, what would be the best way to make them do so? Reface the joint collar on the shaft until it seats to where they line up, or possibly heat up and turn the joint pin (like one might do when re-pinning a cue) and rotate/screw it into a position where the logos would line up when put together?

Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks 🙂

Joss = 14 tpi. .071" mtrl removed from the face per 1 rev. of the shaft.
That fancy ring you're wanting to preserve is now .070" thinner.
Don't worry, no one will notice except maybe everyone.

Probably one of the more efficient options would be to have a new decal made,
the old one removed and the new one correctly placed. No heat involved.
You're welcome.

I'll leave the reader to determine for themselves why rotating the pin won't work.

Are there 2 shafts for this cue or just one. See a Cue maker. Or....send it to Joss, they still have the logo.

Only way to do it right is send it to Joss. Been there done that. Just let them refinish shaft & put new decal on it to line up. Color will probably be off a little.
