Goncalo Alves Wood Cues?

I had Schmelke make me a one piece butt with a G-10 3/8 x 10 pin and purpleheart shaft for my break cue. It breaks great, and also plays well, if I swap on a playing shaft.

Several years ago Viking Cues used to make a basic cue that used Goncalo Alves. It used to be their beginning cue model and sold for under $150. I used to sell that model ALOT! Because it was just such a great shooting value for someone wanting to get into a good American made cue on a budget. Viking no longer makes that particular cue model, but I would certainly be on the lookout for that Viking cue model on Ebay and elsewhere.
That model was my first cue. It was a great playing cue, and the wood was so nice that I've been a fan of goncalo alves ever since.

I have two, but only have pics of one at the moment. I really like the figure and the tone...second from the left if it isn't obvious.
That dark leather looks fantastic on that cue.
