"Good Luck"??????

Doesn't bother me.

Basic pleasantries, a gentlemans approach.

Seems to me to be poor sportsmanship to wish bad luck on your opponent openly and to his face. Thus the "good luck" statement. Doesn't mean you mean it, any more than saying it will make it happen.
 
If you say "good luck" it might put into the back of your mind that you're just playing for fun.

Maybe it's better to just shake hands and mumble an incoherent word that could be taken as anything.
