anyone know of a place with 9' tables in Burlington?

i'm going to be working a sound job there this weekend.

Not sure if it the same name or if it is even open anymore, but Burlington Billiards was the name. If memory serves me correct, it is on Dorsette. It is on the same road as the mall on opposite side of the road. I haven't been there in about 10 years but last I heard, it was still there. They had Gold Crowns. Hope this helps.

Alrighty since I live in Burlington I figure I'll fill ya in! So the only 9' tables in town are at Van Phan's Billiards (formerly known as Burlington Billiards) or the Davis Center at UVM (these require a UVM ID)... Van's is Not open until 4 and closes around midnight Mon-Thurs Fri Sat it's open until 2. The beer and liqour there is through the roof, the tables are level but you won't get a tight rack on any of them the balls are so worn. The popular nights would be Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday... Those are the apa nights which was just recently started by Liz ford, that's when you'll catch most of the pool players in the area. Other than that most of the bars in the downtown area have 7' in poor condition.. Although Mckees pub and grill (winooski) just reflelted their table.. Watch out for the wall. There's also a Sunday 10$ tournament at a bar franny o's BCA 8ball...

That's about it.. Pool struggles in Vermont...

Sorry for the wall of text it's from my phone.

Hope this helps!

thanks for the tips!

unfortunately, i didn't see them in time to put them into use. however, i get back there a couple of times a year for gigs, so the info will definitely come in handy next time.

i can report that Champlain College student center has two 7' tables, and right in the space i was working. however, i've never seen tables in such horrible shape. literally worn down to bare slate, you could see the slate seams, and i can't imagine where they got the balls, they looked like old clay balls.

so next time we'll hunt up Van Phan's; thanks!!
