maybee this thread can over shadow the bickering one and give us something else to read and fight over!
whats your opinion on what makes a cue play good?

jimmy reid likes them 56" or 57" you know stuff like that.

i think ivory ferrules play the best, why i dont know? maybee cause theyr natural and give the most natural feel?

i know one guy that thinks fustic wood cues plays better?

OK I will rise to this bait ... LOL.

Wood to wood flat faced joint is the beat playing joint.
No question here and those that dissagree dont know any better. :D

Also .... those that dont think the butt of a cue has much effect on "hit" or "feel" should screw their shaft onto one of my acrylic butts and you wont believe that BS anymore. It made a believer of me. The butt of the cue has a LOT to do with "hit" and "feel".
 
willie this was not bait i just wanted something good to read.
the other post that was dominating "ask the cuemaker" brought me down and i didnt really even know what they were talking about.
i would think this topic would have enough opinions to make for some good reading,thats all.
and willie if you want to have some fun make a shaft out of polly carb and let me know how many balls you make? and for crazy english and masse's put a 1/2 or 7/16 fibreglass rod into a handle and you will spin the ball like mike massey.
