Hi Guys,

I'm heading down to the Newport News area this coming week for 16-18 days, and need to know where the decent pool rooms are.

If any AZB'ers are from that area, and want to meet up for a few racks, please let me know.

If not...anybody that's been through there and knows where the better rooms to play are, I'd very much appreciate a heads-up.

Thanks a ton, ya'll.

If you don't mind driving about 25 miles Q-Master Billiards in Virginia Beach is definitely worth the drive from Newport News. 55 tables, 20,000 sq. ft. nice atmosphere, no worries about trouble. See Dave Bollman's pro shop there. Makes a decent playing cue for a decent price.

Cool! I'll check it out the first weekend I'm there.

I saw the listing on poolrooms.com (or something like that)...and thought that 55 tables was a misprint!

Sounds like a winner to me! Thanks a ton!

Q-Masters is definitely the place to go. It is owned by Barry Behrman, who runs the U.S. Open, and they keep the tables in very good condition. The food is good and the staff is friendly.

Thanks, Rich.

I was toying around with checking out Bay Billiards in Virginia Beach, too....but if Q-Masters is that nice...I might just stick to it while I'm there.

Thanks again,

Just PM'd you more info. Bay Billiards is actually Shorebreak Sports Billiards. More of a sports bar now. It's clean, no problems.

uh huh

both replies were correct.... but try the OBLISK on that side of the water.

Should stop in Richmond, Va checkout The Playing Field or Side Pocket. There a New Room on Warwick Blvd., just up from Long's Billiard Supplies. I believe its a apa legue room. Sorry I don't Know the name.
