As the World of Pool neither starts nor ends with Earl the Pearl (respect, however) I would like to bring to your attention the fact that there is also currently played the World Championships for Wheelchair Players.
It seems that the only two Representatives from an outside of the European Continent are:
Charlie Hans, Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
and
Takahiro Terada, Osaka, Japan.
They are bound to facing a strong contingent of Players that compete regularly in a Wheelchair Division in Europe, therefore:
I figured they could use some extra support and cheer.!!!
Anybody out there to back that up???
They start their first matches real soon (10 minutes from now)

If you click on the 'tournament' (in blue) it will give you different options (all in blue):
Draw and Results gives you the choice to check either brackets (choose then: Girls, Juniors or Wheelchairs)
Live Score gives you currently played matches (updated as the action happens)
Photo Gallery (click and then click on the image of the camera) - some pictures should be there.
Also some other stuff (charts, stats, etc) there.
