So I bid on this Capone Cue that ended yesterday, but didn't win. I'm sure at least some of you saw the auction at one point or another.

So far today, I have received 3 different "second chance" offers from 3 different eBay accounts and/or emails.

On the bright side, one of them is from the actual seller and I may get the cue for a nice price. ;)

Be careful out there....

Chris:

You'd be getting a terrific buy at that price. To my knowledge, that is only one of two using that design - the other uses different materials, so they are both one-of-ones. Gorgeous. Mike explained the build technique he used for producing that cue, to me. Very complicated. A deisgn of which he is rightfully proud.

Good luck - but as you said......be careful.

Adios,

I'm still getting so many second chance offers on every other cue I bid on..... even one from 2 months ago.

Too bad I can't get high bidders who met my reserve to actually pay up, though....

Thanks....I have been looking to pick up a Capone for a while. Partly because I have heard of his penchant for very high quality work, both cosmetically and functionally, and partly because he was in NJ (at least until recently).

I know the one guy I have talked with is the legit owner/seller, and I'm waiting for him to get back to me.

I also just received yet another offer to buy the cue. This is a first for me Roscoe. I think I got one fake second chance offer before, and I bid on cues constantly. I think there are about 45 auctions listed under my "didn't win" section right now.

I haven't sold that many cues on eBay, but recently I got rid of 5 at the same time. All the winners came through, though a couple stretched it out for 10+ days. I guess I got lucky.
