I'll post the ones as I find them.
This one is pretty excellent with commentary:

This one is a little trickier and it isn't quite live. BBC2 is showing the Ding-Stevens match but they are a couple frames behind. Either way, you will need videolan installed in its default location (c:\program files\videolan\vlc and the program from this link on the c-drive. It runs without a proxy and allows you to watch all of British television. BBC, eurosport, etc

If you can spare the money I suggest you buy the Eurosport Player.

This is the best possible solution if you like high quality snooker. The clips are even recorded so that you can see them again when you have the time.

(also a lot of other sports are shown such as tennis WTA,ATP and K1.)

You can read about it here: http://player.eurosport.com/faq

I can't access europlayer in america - it always says not available in my country.

i would gladly pay to watch the snooker, but there's no viable option in NA other than desperately scouring the internet for streams. come on, bbc!

I hear ya brother.

I wish BBC America would show snooker just like BBC does in the UK. I don't care if I have to get up early.

I just want snooker.

Thats just plain evil!

Well, I hope that you will find some streams to follow the tournaments.

Perhaps it would be possible to find some streaming through chinese homepages, as they really appreciate the game over there.

Couldn't find tonight's matches in my collection of links, so I loaded up this stuff.

First channel I tried was BBC 2 - NOTHING

Then I tried BBC Sports - Murphy vs Pinches

I had seen the info about this system before, but, being a techno-idiot, I wouldn't have tried the software without your recommendation. Thanks

I set this up, but picture keeps freezing every few seconds. i tried all the troubleshooting on the site and suspect my internet speed is too slow - any idea what speed i would need for this to work? I'll certainly upgrade my service if it means bbc access.

It was pretty easy to setup. I'm looking at my bandwidth right now as they are showing Steven's 147 on BBC sport. It's running at 5Mbps, so a little over 600kilobyte per second. Only the cheapest DSL doesn't quite cut it.
Open up your task manager (ctrl+Shift+Escape) and click on the networking tab. If it just looks like a maxed out flat line, it is indeed your network.
You might be able to squeak out a little more with some local optimization, but you should probably move to a bit higher bandwidth with your ISP.

Especially for the American viewers, it looks like BBC sport (via the above program) repeats the days matches after they are finished, so if you have a regular 9-5 like me, and afraid you'd missed all the action, tune in to channel 34 and enjoy.

I gotta say that I'm really happy with the performance of the british tv program. Forget proxy's, or hope that the ustream or justintv stream doesn't get killed.

It's really simple. Download the following two programs and install with all default settings.

http://www.videolan.org/mirror-geo.php?file=vlc/1.0.2/win32/vlc-1.0.2-win32.exe
https://dl.getdropbox.com/u/1808775/britishtv-windows.zip

The click the British TV icon and select channel 34 and away you go!

Oh for some reason the audio is sometimes lagging behind the video. Just press "j" or "k" on your keyboard to change the delay factor to get it all sync-ed up.
