Great few games today...

Today after class, I went to shoot a few games at the student center here on campus. I shot a total of three games, and I think my highest run was seven or eight balls. I think in the first rack, I missed maybe five shots. Second and third rack was about five or six misses per rack. Not bad considering. I had several tricky shots, but I made them with no problem. It took me 20 minutes to play these three racks on a nine footer.

Yesterday during practice, I realized I need to work on my stroke becoming more consistent. I mean it's consistent, just consistently bad. lol Every single shot came back in the same location doing the practice where you shot down the long length of the table to have the cue ball come back to your tip. Every single time, it came back about six or so inches to the right. Same location, but just off. Now I just need to work on getting the center of the ball.

On a positive note, I got three of my books in today. "Practicing Pool - Capelle", "Banking with the Beard" and Dr. Dave's book. SO far, I can honestly say that I'm really liking Dr. Dave's book and Capelle's book. I haven't opened the Banking book yet, so I'm not saying it's bad. I will say that it was recommended by Dr. Dave, so it must be a pretty good book. I think I would classify myself as a C- player according to Capelle's explanation.

Tomorrow, my cue will be here so I'll be taking it out and feeding it a few racks. lol I hope everyone is doing well. Have a wonderful day. =)

Work hard, study any and all material that you can get your hands on, keep a strong practice regimen, and pretty soon you'll be running a rack every now and then!

As far as the reading material goes, just like pool gadgets, you gotta learn how to seperate the wheat from the chaff.
