Great Job in the booth JoeyA!!!

I thought JoeyA was wonderful and I was extremely impressed by how well he did. I feel that we would be fortunate and pleased to welcome him back to any productions that we will be doing in the future.

I not only want to thank JoeyA again, but all of the AZBer's that tuned in, chatted and posted nice comments here. Thanks everybody!

You're quite right, Smorg. It just goes to show you how a minor shortstop from a small poolroom in Metairie, LA can rise to the heights of commentating on an important pool tournament with top players! A true success story. I know Joey is too bashful to say it, but I took the time to break him in while commentating along with me at the recent Mississippi Gulf Coast One-Pocket Shoot Out on UStream. I knew the lad had talent, and this proves it.

And this couldn't have come at a more opportune time. Since in recent times Joey's game has slipped so badly, at least he'll be able to do some commentary at a few tournaments, so as to still enjoy himself.

One small problem. I heard through the grapevine that Joey's head is now so swollen, that he can't fit through the door to the poolroom!:D

Good job, bro~

Aw, Doc...... this thread was moving along so nicely. JoeyA. was finally getting the praise and accolades that I've felt he deserves for years. I'm very proud to count JoeyA. as a friend.

Doc, your comments above were a sure fire thread ender. You couldn't have brought this thread to a skidding halt any faster, had you screamed "HITLER" over and over. Shame on you...... imo

Doug
(with that said, I have it on good authority that after JoeyA. read this thread, the airlines are now requiring him to purchase 2 seats for future flights to tournaments. One for him................. and one for his HEAD)

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL AZBers !!!!!!!!

After the onepocket finals concluded I mentioned the great job Joey and Mike did, they were both great. By the way Joey you have a very good understanding of the game of onepocket and would like to do some commentary with you. For those of you that watched the finals you saw onepocket the way it was meant to be played. Nick is one of the smartest onepocket players to ever play the game and Gabe made him look like he wasn't there, but Nick really played well.I also thought that the entire week went well with the streaming and if possible I would love to see more live streaming, and if it continues our game has a very good chance of really catching on. Great job JR,Grady,Joey, Mike, and everyone else that contributed.

Billy,
I've seen and even played in matches where the score was just as lopsided but I don't think I have ever seen a match between two top players where one player seemed to have NO CHANCE. I mean NO CHANCE not in winning but NO CHANCE as in getting back into the game.

Every shot that Gabe made seemed to be solid as the slate they were playing on. Gabe either made the shot and continued his run and/or missed and left Nick in a position that was almost impossible to improve upon let alone make a ball.

I know that nine ball and even ten ball, things like this happen, where the dominant player breaks well and controls the game with great shooting (like Hillbilly's match against Shane) and rolls that seem to never end but that type of complete dominance is seldom seen in one pocket matches played by two of the best players in the world. Those of you who didn't see the match LIVE-STREAMING free last Sunday should purchase that DVD because it was domination at its best. And for the record NICK still plays FANTASTIC. For that particular match, Gabe's game had no holes in it for Nick to slip back in.

Did I say that the HIGH RESOLUTION videos of these matches are going to go on sale within a week ? :D WWW.spheragon.com
