So I spelt Taipei wrong. That is still better then attempting to use the word Taiwan against the normal grain of this and every other news site out there. The WPA used (TPE) beside his name to show his country, that would NOT be the initials for "Taiwan".

I'm just letting you know, Taiwanese don't like to be called 'Chinese Taipei'. That's the political name as stipulated for international events for politcal reasons. You'll never hear a Taiwanese telling you they're from Chinese Taipei.

Jason was playing here in St. Louis a couple of month ago and told me he was 19 at that time.
He is VERY impressive.
I was kind of scolding him for ever going to the DCC & other major tourneys. If he would have teamed up with Jack C. or someone like him about a year ago - I believe He would actually be a Millionaire today.
He B.B.Q.ed Andy Quinn, 10 ahead, 9 Ball in about 1.5 hours. Andy was betting his own so it was worth about $2K.
Now if he had lost a couple of hundred and played Andy in a few days (with his backer present) the score would have been about $25 - $40K.
I almost got sick to my stomach.

3) Wu Yu Lun placed 4th in the last All Japan Open. He was beaten in the semi finals by Mika Immonent 11-3. The Japan open has a very strong field, with Ralf Souquet taking the title this year.

By the way the player list in the last All Japan Open included Reyes, Pagulayan, Bustamante, Kiamco, Lining, Manalo, Chao, Hsia, Chang, Max Eberle, Mike Davis, and all famous asian players from the Philippines, Korea and Japan, and world champion Pagulayan was eliminated by junior champion Wu Yu-Lun.

I played a kid in Phoenix AZ named Mitch, I think he was 17 at the time, didn't know his last name, but he strung 2 - 3 racks at a time playing 9ball.


I'm still convinced that this was my little buddy Mitch Menes from Tampa,FL. He can knock de ball in de hole, but needs to pay more attention on when to play a safety... imo

There's a real strong 18year old named Mitch Ellerman here. He played the junior nationals last year and is playing them again this year. That's why I assumed it was him.

Young Players

I have 2 brothers that i sponcer out of Marion NC. They are Marcus and Adam Pendley. Marcus finnished 9 in the Jr. nationals and Adam finished 2nd. We were in Michigan a couple of years ago. Adam also beat Earl Strickland in a tournament in NC a few months back. These two boys are as good as any players around no matter what age. By the way they are 14 and 15. They are on my website if you would like to see them. I think they are going to be two of the best in the near future. (IMO) I have seen Atam put togeather 5 and 6 packs quite often. They dont travel much because of school but they will soon. Watch out for them!!

There are actually a few really strong American junior players that are on the same level as the one’s mentioned. In any one particular year I see a few really strong junior players that have a game that really turns heads and can compete with any junior player in the country. For one reason or another they all don’t show up every year to compete at the BCA Junior Championship. I sometimes think that the people are guiding them have them staying below radar. There are some really good 10,11,12,13 year olds that are coming up that are going to be outstanding players too if they keep it up.

I have seen these boys game and they are some of the young juniors whom I am talking about. Adam plays as good as any junior in the country. There are others also that have not been mentioned.
