For those who live in Southern Illinois, or might be traveling through Southern Illinois in the future, please go check out this great new pool hall that must have very recently opened, called Chalky's, in Carbondale IL.

I am told that it is a brand new pool hall, with 11 7ft Diamonds, and 4 9ft Diamonds.

Pretty exciting news, though I am not sure if I will ever make it back to Carbondale again in the future.

Hope it remains open for a very long time.

First real pool hall to open in Carbondale (other then the one located in the Student Center, at SIUC), since the last one closed over 20 years ago.

Very interesting. I have been away for 10 years, so there may have been a pool hall in that location. I just never heard about it.
 
Yes I'm very excited that this new room open right here in Carbondale small town miracle and I hear Hall of Famer buddy hall will be the room Pro
