Spots and Stripes is vastly superior to Riley's Victoria. They are based 2 minute walk from Southwark tube station, and have 10 English pool tables plus regular tournaments.

Hurricane Room, right outside the Kings Cross tube stop. http://www.hurricaneroom.co.uk/kings-cross-hurricane-room-intro/
I visited London for the first time 3 yrs ago and stopped in here. Very nice equipment & friendly service. Unfortunately, I can't speak to any tournaments they might have, but I do recall they had 9 ft pool tables, 12 ft snooker tables, and some 7 ft english pool tables.
Enjoy!

I think "Riley's Victoria" is the place for Monday nights.
Wow, that place still exists? I used to go there in the 90s and catch up with the then great player, the legendary Steve Knight. Jimmy White used to show up too and practice with Steve. Glory days, gone but never forgotten.![]()
Just a word of warning though, the Hurricane Room does get very busy after 5pm, you are more likely to get a snooker table than pool table after then, before 5pm, you should be okay on anything (that said being December there may be a few office Christmas parties around).
Where are you staying btw OP, I may be able to suggest a few places nearby?

I think Riley's Victoria is the place for Monday nights.
But no snooker or American pool (in case the OP isn't an English pool fan).
Thank you! I checked out Hurricane and couldn't believe how many tables they had. It wasnt too far as I'm staying in Russell Square.
What are some great places to play pool or snooker in London? And does anyone know of any local weeknight tournaments for Monday or Wednesday nights?
Thanks.
