I just got a Midsize Cuesmith from Chris and it's working great for repairs. I needed to make it portable and small enough to fit in my Honda Civic. I saw this stand and it works like it was made for the lathe. I did change the board the lathe came on to an oak 1" x 10" x 4'. here is a link and a few pictures. What do you think?

It looks pretty good but I would beef it up a little. Add a couple of cross members to the legs and maybe some way to add a little weight. I have a wood lathe with a stand something like that. It has a shelf and I piled on a bunch of barball plates that made a big difference in how is runs. I used to be afraid to even lean against it, it was very top heavy.

I like that set up. It looks like you mounted the wheels differently than the one on the tool companies web site. I like where your wheels are much better than where theirs are mounted. Does it wiggle around much once it is unfolded and set up? I would love to find one that was really solid once set up. Thanks for sharing the pictures with us.

the wheels can mount on the legs or on the base like the picture. when I was doing a warped house cue yes it wobbled, but the legs angle outward and are stable for real tip work. Home depot has other mitersaw stands that cost more but I don't think they would work as well.

Chris thanks for the fast turn around on my order
