There is no "right" way, this is a fantasy. There is the "ideal" way that some people fantasize about, and there is the actual way that happens in real life.Not with TAOM in my experience unless the player doesn’t apply chalk the right way.
Coming from a real life user of the green taom V10 chalk on my own table for over 2 years, it will leave small green marks. If there are any gouges or cracks in your cue ball, it will leave a little green there also. I'd say about 1/20th of unwanted residue that you'd see in masters or other chalks.
