Greensboro Nc??

I am contemplating a move to Greensboro N.C. Can anyone tell me the state of affairs in that area. Economy? Realestate? Employment? and local pool?

I have a condo available to me for short $$ and may have a possible transfer available through work, but not sure about that part.

Thanks for any help.
Joe

You are going to find real estate prices considerably lower than in Florida. NC has a state income tax which you don't have in FL. Greensboro is part of a 3 city area including High Point and Winston Salem. The overall economy is probably average...not great...not bad.
There are several pool rooms in the area, but from my experience, you may decide driving to Raleigh for some higher paying tournaments and some tougher competition is worth it. I'm in the process of trying to move from Charlotte to Raleigh and will be looking forward to getting into the pool scene there.
Hope you enjoy college basketball...it rules the entire state!!!!

hey joe i live about an hour north of greensboro and visit it quite a bit. All in all i think its a pretty nice area all to itsself......the triad area continues to grow at a pretty decent clip, especially compared to my area. Pool-wise isnt bad, probably nothing like what you are used to, but it does have several places to play......players, breakers, bg mcghees, coliseum has quite a bit of action but its a rough area lol, and a few other poolrooms. If you like outdoors activities theres quite a bit within an hour or two.......western nc is beautiful, lots of hiking, hunting, fishing, come in to the east and you have the beach and wilmington, outer banks, and youre an hour and a half north of charlotte. Let me know if you come up, maybe we can meet up and play sometime, im down that way quite a bit.
