I believe Greg passed away around 2007. Sorry. Don't know more than that. You can check the archive's here.

Greg Hearn

I have 3 cues Greg made. I am currently playing with a sneaky he made many years ago and for me it plays great. The other 2 are examples of his high end cues and are (in my opinion) the works of a master at his craft. Every cue I have of his and have ever seen of his had the 3/8 10 pin. I'm told he made the widow makers that Bert kinister used to sell.

He also built the first cues I ever heard of that had a built in extension. If you make the trade I would like to hear from you as to your opinion of the cue.

Good luck

Awesome. Was that extension made by Larry Phillips.

I was under the impression Greg came up with it but don't know for certain. It was internal and if you didn't know it was there it looked like a standard cue. A twist at the butt allowed for the extension I think.

I didn't think of it in my initial responds but the foremost cue in my avatar was made by Greg.

I'm not sure if the white material is holly or something else. Any ideas of what it is would be appreciated.

I do not know what the white is. Bill Phillips developed an extender around 1994 or 95. I did the repairs for the CPA tour at that time. I introduced it here in the States, Nat Green loved it and put it in most of his cues. It was fitted to the cue at the bottom of the wrap and the butt bottom was fitted to it. It had a black delrin spacer. Opened up approximately 4 inches. Bill named it after his son Larry who passed away. Maybe Greg developed a different extender.
