one of the best , if not the best cue I have ever hit with and a great looking cue was made by Greg Hearn.
I was in a poolroom in Maryland over 10 years ago and a guy came in looking to buy cues he was quite the collector and he played strong too. Big guy drove a cadilliac had a couple nice blackboars, an assortment of Scruggs,Frey,Lambros and a few others. He was telling me about all the great cuemakers in Maryland.
I asked him what cue I should buy with limited funds and he told me to look up Greg Hearn that in his opinion Greg (at that time) made the best cue for the money and for about 400 I could probably get him to make me a nice cue.
Took me 7 or 8 years but finally i got one and I think the guy was right.
I heard he died a couple of years ago (hearn) and I'm curious to hear any thing else about the man and his work.
any info would be appreciated
