Someone named their Racing Greyhound Allison Fisher. She's training in TX right now and looks like a pretty nice pup. Probably make a major track in a month or two. Johnnyt

Speaking of Allison Fisher she won the charity tournament at Hickory NC this weekend by beating Jeff Abernethy hill hill in the finals.--Leonard

A greyhond racing at a major track now a days is lucky to runout in it's racing lifetime (avg 2 1/2 years) what she makes in a year. Johnnyt

Yep she did. It's been a good two weeks at Randolphs. Last week Kelly Fisher shot in the lady's tournament on Saturday and Sunday afternoon and then on to the Sunday night tournament. This week Allison shot in the charity tournament. Didn't get to see Kelly last week, but it was nice seeing Allison play.

it is about time my Diva`s name becomes a household name.

If anyone wants to bet this dog when she starts at a track, let me know. I will give you the the day or night of the race, the track she's racing at, race #, post position ,and the track website so you can put a few dollars on her and watch her run. Johnnyt

Johnny, sounds like you've owned dogs. Is the dog at Gulf ? Keep us advised if you know where this dog ships to. BTW, do you know the breeding ?

No the dog is still on the Texas farm training.
Yes I owned a little under 200 racing Greyhounds that raced all over the country. I sold out in 2003, but kept Dodgem by Design for stud. I am partner on him. Racing and stud fees combined he's given us over $600,000. We bought him for 25k at the NGA Aution. Johnnyt

PS: Most likely who ever owns this dog has more pups. I would almost bet he/she names them for pool players.

That's great. Keep us (me) advised. I'm close to Twin River and (unfortunately closing) Raynham. Gee. DbD ?? That's one heck of a stud dog. I'd love to be back in the game, but I promised the wife that any dog we owned would come home and the cats run the roost right now. A few more years though. Thanks and good luck

Charter Kennel is starting to auction all his track ready dogs that can't hold "D" grade at Wheeling, Derby Lane, Flagler, and Southland. If you win the bid for a dog just move him to a cheaper track and your back in the game for $100 to $500.:) Johnnyt

Thanks for the info Johnny, but I've had my share of cheaper tracks. If I ever get back to Mobile, I owe something to somebody and it ain't money. Big difference between horse racing and dog racing. In the former, the trainers actually listen to owner's tirades. In dog racing, all the trainer wants is your first born. and second. And third. And a stipend and Harvard education for each! Ugh.
