GTF vs. Kopy Kat

I am looking at the GTF 1x2 vs. the Kopy Kat 1x2.


I dont understand.... both are made by Barton? Both appear to be the same? But the Kopy Kat is 30% lower in cost.... any feedback?

Kopy Kat is vinyl...GTF is leather.

I've been thinking of pulling the trigger on a GTF,
but Barton's constant slamming of Jack Justis
turned me off enough that I doubt I'm a buyer.

By all means, buy what you like...that's just me.

I just picked up a GTF from 9ballking.

I understand your sentiments on JB.

We all have traits about us that are unflattering. John's might be more visable sitting behind a keyboard than others.

GTF is a brand of cases made by JB Cases. The brand is not owned by JB Cases and JB Cases does not sell this brand or these models to the public.

The three models of GTF that currently exist are the Replica, Prestige and KopyKat.

The Replica is made with hand finished ends in the style of Harvey Martin, Gina, Fellini, Ann Gore, etc.... It is always leather. We use nappa leather, cowhide prints, ostrich, vegetable tanned saddle leather, and cowhide suede among others.

The Prestige is made with end caps in the style of Centennial, It's George, Ron Thomas, etc.... The endcaps are done with laminated leather that is hand-finished as well and dyed to match the case. The first batch were done with molded plastic endcaps and we discontinued that in 2008.

The KopyKat is made of high-grade vinyl. The same type of vinyl you would find on shoes and furniture and other high-use needs. It is done in the Replica style with hand-finished ends.
