Guinness 9 ball tour

3 Pinoys & 3 Taiwanese into the quaters.

The Taiwaneses seem to have a better draw though:
Wu Chia Ching (TPE) vs Bernard Tey Choon Kiat (SIN)
Jimmy Jusman (INA) vs Chang Jung-Lin (TPE)
Chao Fong-Pang (TPE) vs Dennis ORCOLLO (PHI) (!!!)
Lee Vann CORTEZA (PHI) vs Ronato ALCANO (PHI)

LIVE via TVU right now

Watch the quarterfinals right now via TVU channel 10006. Video and sound quality are excellent and the commentators are speaking in English.

Looking at the results so far, Lee Van Corteza has defeated Ronnie Alcano and is now waiting for the winne of the FP Chao vs Dennis Orcullo match later.

Currently, WU is facing a a Singaporean opponent and is leading just by 1 point now by a score of 5 to 4. The Singaporean is giving him a tough fight.

Wu now leads 7 to 5. Who else is watching via TVU or SOPCAST? If you are not, you are missing a lot. I have seen a lot of excellent shots so far.

I missed the Corteza vs Alcano match earlier (we are now on the 2nd match of the quarterfinals) but I have read that that one was full of suspense. Corteza won by a score of 9 to 8. He missed the 8 ball but then Alcano missed the 9 too on the final rack when the match was hill-hill.

LIVE in SOPCAST too

OK, my TVU player has stopped playing so I switched to SOPCAST and the quality is a little better. It is on Sopcast channel 6029.

Bernard Tey is coming back. Leading earlier by 4 to 2, Wu has won 5 straight racks to make it 7 to 4 in Wu's favor. Then this gutsy Singaporean just won 2 straight games and is now back on track 7 to 6.

Dennis now leading 6 to 4 but Chao is on the table seeking to bring the match closer. Both players have made a lot of errors but there are occasional flashes of brilliance from both of them too.

Dennis wins over Chao 9 to 5. Will have a big match with Lee Van Corteza tomorrow.

A player from the Philippines is assured of a finals berth. Next game is between Chang and a player from Indonesia. Whoever wins will face Wu who won earlier against Bernard Tey from Singapore.

So tomorrow, the matches are:

Wu vs. Chang or the Indonesian player

Lee Van Corteza vs. Dennis Orcullo

The winner of each match will be in the finals.

Nice smooth broadcast from SOPCAST via Channel 6029 STAR SPORTS. The 2 semifinal and finals match will again be broadcast tomorrow. Do not miss it. The schedule will be:

First semifinal match 12 midnight US eastern time
Second semifinal match 1:30 am US est

Finals 3:00 am US est

If you missed all or any of the matches, look for the replays at this link.
