Go to sopcast.com. Download the free version 1.1.2. After you install it, look for channel 6029 STAR Sports on the left side.

I was watching via TVU player but it froze so I shifted to SOPCAST and the coverage was very decent. Like watching live TV. And the commentary is in English too so that makes it better.

I am going back to sleep now. Need a lot of sleep today so I can watch the 3 remaining matches tomorrow (2 semifinals and finals) starting at 12 midnight today. At least 5 hours of straight pool action for free.

I am sorry I missed the Alcano vs Corteza match. That one went down the wire 9 to 8 Corteza and from all accounts it was very exciting. I am going to check the ESPN and Star Sports schedule to see when it would be replayed.

go download the free Guinness 9 ball tour theme pack? (background, screensavers, sounds). I just did, have to check it out more though.


COOL - The screensaver has a 9 ball game in it. You can play 9 ball on the screensaver. Getting used to the controls is a little tricky.

Orcullo vs Corteza updates...

Dennis leads 1 to 0 and it is his turn on the table.

This is now a longer race to 11 in the semifinals still alternate breaks and the winner must win by at least 2 games so a score of 11 to 10 is not possible.
 
Dennis now leads 2 to 0. Winner of this match will be in the finals later against the winner of the WU vs Chang in the next game.

Corteza's has a dry break. He is committing a lot of errors so far. Orcullo looking a lot better than he has been for a long time.

Anybody else tuned in to SOPCAST?
 
Dennis now leads 3 to 0. Playing great pool so far and Corteza is commiting a lot of errors.

Dennis breaks and gets 1 ball in.
 
Corteza wins his first game. Score is now 4 to 1 Dennis's favor.

Commercial time. Then it is Orcullo's turn to break.
 
Dennis breaks and makes 1 ball. However, Corteza is back on the table after a miscue on the next ball.
 
With the score now 4 to 2 Orcullo, Corteza makes another dry break to get Dennis back at the table.
 
Corteza has caught up. He is now down by only 1 point at 4 to 3. Now a very close game.
 
This alternate breaks format game is looking more like a winner's break format. Dennis won 4 straight games at the start and then Corteza just made 5 straight games to lead for the first time at 5 to 4. It is now a very close game but the momentum is clearly with Lee Van now. Still anybody's ball game.

No he does not!!! Tough luck for Orcullo. He scratched with 2 balls left on the table. Corteza now leads 6 to 4.
 
Holy sh#$, Dennis just missed position on the 7, then made a thin cut on it and scratched 2 rails in the side. 6-4 Corteza
 
the sopcast site wouldn't open for me but i installed sopcast last night and it works fine, they need to can the american commentator whoever it is doesn't know the first thing about pool, the other guy isn't too bad

Since I appear to be the only one here, I will just concentrate on the game. Next match is Wu vs Chang and then the final match will follow immediately on SOPCAST channel 6029 Star Sports.
 
i would just watch the match there's hardly anyone on this time of night, and most of those that are interested will tune in an watch for themselves
