Guiseppe = poor quality case.

I obtained this case in a used cue package i purchased on AZ.

A few things I do not like about the Giuseppe case:

1. The cues rattle around inside the case. Probably won't hurt anything but it bugs me.

2. The long zipper compartment is attached to two straps that wrap around the case but are not sewn or even glued to the main part of the case. And it is attached to the straps only with some thing stitching in the middle.

The combination of these two design flaws equals a compartment that slides back and forth and flops around continually.

3. The top of the case came completely off. I was carrying the case by the top one day as I was walking across the room and all of the sudden I had the top part in my hand and the remainder fell on the floor.

The top part is not stitched to the case either. I can see the remnants of some glue that apparently held it on.

Last Giuseppe case I will ever own.

Case

Giuseppe cases have always had questionable quality to them. The only reason they sold was because they were cheap. I hate the cases that have webbing around the outside of a case, it makes the whole case look Mickey Mouse and cheap, like it was just thrown together.

Thrown together is the perfect description. The accessory compartment is like it was added as an afterthought. The interior of this case which i can now see due to the top falling off looks to be cardboard of a flimsy variety.

Same thing happened to the one I have with the top. It happened to me just from closing the lid, it doesn't fit my cues so they push against the lid and it eventually made the top come apart. I just use it as storage now and it serves that purpose but I'm with you, it's terrible quality. I have cheap Imperial cases that are made better then the Guiseppe.

Hmmmm,,,,,,,man,,that's strange,, some years back when I bought ''Searing'',,the fellow [or gal] ,,shipped it to me in this really cool 1x2 black ''Guisseppe'',,, as blown away by the ''Searing'' as I was, I was equally impressed with the case,,,I looked further into it and long story short,,,called ''Guissippe'' ,, spoke to Joe,,,who by the way is a total class act ,,and ordered virtually the same case but had the top and lower outside compartments extended to my specs, this one in a ''Siamese Grey'' color that I kinda stole from GTF,,,,,,,I recently took it up to Montreal and man,,,,what a great case,,,durable, light, great protection and as I usually carry alot of stuff besides the usual pool accessories,,,Canadian money cash, Tic -Tacs,,,,,,just ''Stuff'',,,,I really like the ''Guisseppee's''....Owning over 80 cases and still growing,I think I know what I like,, but hey,,,like they say,,,''That's what makes horse racing'',,,,,,,Joe is a great guy and can easily work with ya on any custom order,,,I think my custom,,was just under $100.00.....

In any event,,,shoot straight,,!!,,Alan,,,,,,,,,

Whoa.....my experience has been completely opposite. I've had a 2x2 giuseppe for about 4 or 5 years and it still looks and functions like the first day I bought it. My only complaint has to be that one of the tube springs seemed to compress further on one side than the other, but I know that was due to one of my cues being longer than the other one. I get what you all say about the pockets being only attached by two straps of vinyl but mine are still tight and snug and they don't flop around at all. Uh....guess I got a good one?

Or I got a bad one? Or the guy before me was hard on it?

I only know my personal experience. I am open to this being bad luck.

They look nice enuff on the web site. Thats what got me, I thought they were pretty cool. I bought one and couldn't get rid of it quick enuff. All the things you said plus one more.

The carrying handle was of such thin material that you could feel it stretching when you picked up the case full of cues. As you were walking with the case and the handle material was flexing/stretching, you just knew that one day, that handle would come apart and leave the rest of the case on the floor. It wasn't attached to the case very well either.

I sold the case with a Dale Perry cue. Broke even with the cue and lost money on the case. That was fine by me as long as it was gone out of my life. $300 for both and lost $100 on the case.

Lots of other better made cases out there for the same or less money.

lol well don't exactly know what the guy above my other post said but I can tell he is a fan of them. I thought they were good for the money but there are so many other options now like the wave cases or instroke premiers for around the same price. Other friends of mine have the larger 2x4 and 3x6 giuseppe's and to me those seem kind of large. Um...for all the problems you guys got I dunno because mine is still looking pretty good but I just recently switched to a larger case. Good luck.

I have a few old 2x4's, and although they are about my least expensive cases, they are extra long, and they are OK for storage.
Just sold a Schon cue and threw in a Black 2x4.
Nowdays there are some decent inexpensive cases coming out of China, but there was a time when Giuseppe was considered a good case for the money.

The owner must remember to keep the zippers zipped. I have about 5 Guiseppe cases. They are well made. They are priced right. I like them.
To each his own huh.

Personally not a fan of the tubes. My jj case has those, I use it for storage but didn't want to put my new cue or ld shaft in it. I picked up a Sterling Wave and totally happy with it. Guiseppe were a thought but that thought faded

i have had one for at least 8-9 years, and mine looks like brand new, and I have had none of the problems you listed. My pockets are held on by straps, but they perfectly tight, and do not flop. Also, it is very well insulated. I live in central FL, and I leave my case in my trunk and my cue isn't warped, and actually it isn't even hot when i take it out on summer days. I have had many other bigger more expensive cases, and my cues always end up back in my Giuseppe!

Like I said earlier. I am willing to chalk it up to having a lemon. Quite a mixture of good and bad reviews on this thread.

The picture is not showing in post #1. Is the case new or used? Like anything else ...if you do not like it simply move on. G cases are well built and quite durable.

I guess we will have to agree to disagree. I have an old Porper from 1987 and it hasn't fallen apart yet.

I can see the photo... is it not showing for anyone else?

Giuseppe Cue Cases

I thought all their cases have a lifetime warranty!

I believe Giuseppe Cue Cases do indeed carry a lifetime warranty and have known Joe Angeletti to stand behind this.., I purchase my first Giuseppe Case in 1993 and it has served me well.

There are many well made cases in today's market and Giuseppe Cue Cases is one that I would not hesitate to recommend.

If you bought the case used....used is used. By any chance is the case a boot leg knock-off?

Guisseppe case

I have a Guisseppe........2x4. Although it is not as durable as leather.....it is a good case. I always take good care of my equipment, and so I do with the case....For someone that doesn't beat the shit out of their stuff.....these cases are fine.
