Gulf Oil Spill to Schmidt

john: what's going on in the gulf? i'm moving to florida soon. this is really distressing.

i think that they should build a long, steel and concrete, tapered cone with seals on the edges and cram it in that well head. it seems like a no-brainer to me.

hope it doesn´t get to the complete west coast as i will be there in october for holidays....

i talked to a friend of mine in englewood (just south of tampa) and he said that they don't expect the oil to wash up there. who knows though. the way this thing is gushing out of control it could be six more months before they get it stopped. idiots!

where in florida will you be staying?

saysage where u live in texas now? and where u moving to in florida?

I only ask casue Im from florida originally, but moved to houston 6 years ago.......

sascha: i'll be about fifty miles north of you.

jumpinjoe: i'm in DFW now and moving to the tampa area.

that would be fun. if i can get down there as planned, i'll contact you. i'm already in texAss much longer than anticipated. i've been playing the 14.1 ghost for almost 20 years. it's all 9ball, one pocket and 8ball out here.

when i get settled in florida my first purchase is going to be a 9' table.

you would have to contact me probably before i will get there to make a date for playing as i think i am not having internet there too much.

How i wish i could move there and have a house with a table....dream would come true. But for me it´s close to impossible to get to the US to make a living :(

My girlfriends dad said they are looking at drilling a lot of smaller capped holes around the major leak. The oil supposedly will follow the paths of least resistance and not be able to build quite as much pressure. The reason they can't cap the leak is because of how much pressure there is.

I am not a physics major or an oil expert but that's what I've been told is the latest going on. A project like that though would cost over $10 billion so we shall see what's going to happen.

I'm hoping BP drops the price of gas by like 50 cents a gallon to apologize.

if they'd build a huge steel and concrete pile driver with a tapered tip and enough weight to counter the pressure coming out of that well, they could guide it RIGHT DOWN that hole. it has to work. they could even make a funnel to help it get started. i can't believe that they haven't done this....
