this topic has been discussed before, but 2 days ago I went to the pool room by myself with my only Barry(MY favorite cue of all time) and a Gus, I have several Gus's so I took the only one that has the same dimensions as my barry, some Gus's with thick butts or thin 59" long, etc. I took from what I could tell without a calipers and scale a gus that matched my Barry.
I was hitting them good that day and felt good, I played with both cues switching often then not so often, i looked at them on the table long and carefully they were the same, the Gus had a slightly different taper on the shaft.
My point is the cues played the same, I couldnt tell a difference, and I'm good at telling the slightest difference in a cue. It was cool,
I just wanted to share my storie, I'm blessed to have the cues and it was cool compairing them, one thing I have noticed there are alot of differences from Gus to Gus, dont know about Barry's cues if he makes them all a bit different, but I have one of each that play the same-I thought that was cool. hope you liked my storie
