This guy is listed as a prince on Stan James, I'm guessing its the pool mad Brunei prince? I heard Tommy Donlan went over there coaching him for a while, anyone know if this is the same guy?

He also spent $1 Billion of public funds building a lavish hotel once lol

Answering your own questions now? Indeed it is the Prince. He has played in the WPC before. But in was in a Qualifying event at Victoria in 2004. He won a couple of matches too including one against the very experienced Ahmed Miraghai. But he has a tough baptism in this Main Event in Manila.
Will we see you there?

Hi Doug, yeah I'm too quick for ya hehe. Thanks for info though, I guess he must play pretty sporty. I was in Brunei last year, almost went to the sports institute for a game of snooker but it was a bit of a trek. Its anice place but not much to do at night (its a dry state) other than visit the largest theme park in the world, also built by the prince!

Sadly at the moment I'm about 50/1 on to miss Manila, I'm gutted but its tough to keep getting time off from work. Next year though, def next year! I heard you're going Im sure you'll have a ball!

Yes indeed, he is the Crown Prince of Brunei, the next to be King. Tommy did coach him from somewhere in 1999 till 2002.

Crown Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (Arabic: المهتدي بالله بلقية) (born February 17, 1974) is the first born son and heir to the Sultan of Brunei. He is the son of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah and Queen Saleha.

Prince Billah studied at Emanuel School and Magdalen College, Oxford University in 1997, but did not graduate with a degree. While at Oxford, he followed a programme of study specially designed for him involving Islamic Studies and International Relations. He is an alumnus of St Andrew's School in Bandar Seri Begawan, which he attended for his primary education. He is reported to be a billiards and snooker enthusiast.

Sorry just checked, it was the Sultans disgraced brother that spent that on the fabulous £1b Empire Hotel (great cocktails ans sunset btw!).

BTW I notice you live in Brunei, you're not the prince himself are you!!! :eek:
