Played on 9 foot Brunswick Gold Crown IV tables
Winner Breaks, Race to 5/4, Finals one race to 7.
$20 entry for A/B players, $10 entry for C/D players
$50 added by poolroom owner
Lots of food specials on tournament nights

Tournament is still going strong even in the heat of summer. Had 26, 22, 24, 25 players in the past 4 weekly tournaments.
 
wow i remember this tournament from several years ago when Pagulayan, Miami, Jon Kuchero, Wiseman, D Smith, Scooter, Richie Rich, Adam Smith, and bunch of other high level players showed up. The room used to add a lot more money though.. Awesome pool room from what I remember. Nice atmosphere..
 
Different owners now. We make due with what we have now. Still get strong players but nothing like the years you referred to. Finishing in the top 4 was an accomplishment back then. Tough tournament for not a lot of money. Still fun though.

I remember the days there.... We need to talk about how to turn it around like the old days. I'm considering opening a room to bring back some tradition, thinking Pontiac.... Think I need to have lunch with marsman.....

Afew years ago (HOF) annually added over $20,000 to the Monday & Wednesday tournaments. Plus through the contacts of Ronnie Wiseman we had a continuous flow of the nations top players visiting the room for challenge matched. Was good stuff , who knows,could happen again.
