Hall of Fame Meucci on Ebay.. I love it!

Man I am really thinking of selling my bushka and lucasi and purchasing this...

I just don't think it's age makes it worth so much.

Can anyone here who really knows a lot about the older "hall of fame" meucci's come in and post up an opinion.

I love the design the most of all cues I've seen. Not in workmanship, or because of how intriciate it is.. just because of the medevial-look of it.

Destrukkt, Don't know alot but I can read. The cue appears to be a Level 8 Meucci Model 95-32 and not a HOF-8.( Page 526 of the 3rd Blue Book). According to the Blue Book, The MSRP is $2,000 ,98% $1,750.00 so forth. The purple stained maple makes it to be the Mod.95-32. The HOF 8 has red stained maple. Could I be wrong? Maybe but i am looking at the Blue Book now.........Charlie D

Wow I love this cue.

The art is my style, old style knight swords and what looks to be a mace or sceptre. A old roman style pillar on the bottom..

I'd love to own this cue, more-so most others cues I've seen. I just wish it was like $650 instead of $1200

This is the cue that Jim (King James) Rempe used to own and play with. That cue if I remember correctly, had actual jewels and gold inlaid in the cue. Back at that time, his inlaid model was supposed to be valued at 10,000.00. I'm not sure how long he owned or played with that model but it is definitely sharp looking.

I don't remember the date but Jim's cue was the first that I heard of bringing what was, at the time, a large amount of money in a sale. I heard that a guy in California paid $20,000 for that cue. Mid or late '80s maybe, I'm not sure.

Rempe sold the cue for 20K to a broker who had a contact in Japan. I heard it sold for much more there.

The big difference between the cue Rempe used and the one in the E-bay auction, besides the "crown jewels" that were inlayed into the butt, is that all white on the cue was ivory.

Bob Meucci made a short run of ivory crown jewel cues himself, by hand. He scrimmed an identification number into the ball of the scepter. These cues predate the red dot shafts and have no "originals" lettering on the butt cap.

Later series employ synthetic materials in place of the ivory inlays.
Retail was over $2000 for these more modern versions of the cue, but I have seen several at half of that price, being sold as new by dealers.

I agree this is a superbly beautiful and original design. Just be sure you want to keep it...at $900 or more used, with blemishes, you will have a hard time getting your investment back later.

Note the odd shape of the hand carved ivory crown The cross on top is not centered. Also, there is filler around the crown in the inlay pocket.
