parica and immonen both deserve the HOF, but mika still highly competes, why put him in so soon??

This is probably the single biggest issue in the fans' minds with the BCA Hall of Fame: the requirements for candidacy are 40 years minimum age, 10 years of professional competition, and significant U.S. performance / results.

Because pool is a game where you can compete well past 40, some would argue that the 40-year old minimum should be raised. Sigel and Mizerak were inducted in their mid 30's. Jean was inducted in her late 20's!!!! They were all still highly competitive.

So, by those standards, Bustamante, Mika, Archer, Allison, Karen, Jeanette all getting in at their early 40's puts them not of line.

The LPGA have a merit system, so you can absolutely still be competitive in the main LPGA events and get in their Hall of Fame. Other Hall of Fames require a retirement plus X years. Every one of them is different.

No good answer, but just wanted to highlight past precedence in our sport and in other Hall of Fames.

Freddie <~~~ no significant US titles

well, if i knew the requirements i wouldn't of asked. thanks. it makes sense now. and yes, 40 is too early for pool.
