There is a Halloween party tonight at the bar where I usually play the weekly tournament on Saturday nights. As a twist they are playing tonights tournament with broomsticks. They provide them so no one can modify one, but it should be interesting. Later ----- Jon
 
this is the first tournament I've heard of with this format. I've heard of people playing like this as a proposition, but not the whole tournament.
 
Jon...I was in Chris's Billiards last night (which has traditionally been THE place to play in Chicago), to play a couple of hours with some friends, and the place was a GRAVEYARD! I couldn't believe that there were less than 6 tables going in the whole joint, and this was at 8pm. Later, I went down to City Pool Hall, which was totally packed, and jumping until closing. Not sure what the difference is, but it's sad to see Chris's going downhill. Tonight I'm going to check out the new room on the northside, Pressure Billiards, which is featured in the new Billiards Digest.:D
