The Seminole Pro Tour had another successful tournament, as the 3rd stop of the 2008 season was held at Hammer Head Billiards in Holiday, FL with $8,000 Added to the prize fund. There were 61 players, which was fantastic considering many tour regulars were out in Vegas playing in the International 10-Ball event.
I?d like to apologize for the lack of coverage on the forums from our end this weekend. There were many factors that went into us not being able to get onto the internet, and I can tell you it shouldn?t happen again.
Donny Mills came away with the title over Dave Grossman, who is playing extremely well these days. The extra practice time up in Jacksonville seems to be playing off for Dave. Donny was just too strong in the end as he pulled away in the Finals 9-5. The win was a big monkey off of Donny?s back, as this was his first Seminole Pro Tour title after finishing in the top few places so many times. Congrats Donny!! The top finishers were as follows:
1st place Donnie Mills
2nd place David Grossman
3rd place Hans Berberoglu
4th place Tommy Kennedy
5th place Hunter Lombardo
5th place Marc Vidal
7th place Dan Lavoie
7th place Anthony Meglino
9th place Mark Coats
9th place Corey Deuel
9th place Butch Croft
9th place Mike Caron
13th place Adam Wheeler
13th place Tony Ruberto
13th place Elvis Rodriguez
13th place Mike Hutcheson
Thanks to Dan Lavoie and the rest of his great staff for hosting us. It?s always a pleasure to hold an event at Hammer Heads, and I encourage everybody to check out the room if you are ever in the Holiday area. (727) 939-9494
Our next event is coming up in only a few weeks, as we head to the beautiful new room in Cape Coral, Diamond Billiards. Room owner James Oswalt has done a great job putting together such a fantastic venue, and I hope many people get to come down and play/watch June 20th-22nd. This event will also be $8,000 Added and you can expect to see some of the best players around.
If anybody has any questions about the event, please drop me a line at 954-445-5106 or KevinPickard@semtribe.com Pre-registration is strongly encouraged, as you can lock up a spot in the field by giving me a call.
Any questions regarding the Cape Coral area or the tournament room can be directed to Diamond Billiards at 239-573-7665.
Thanks, Kevin
