"Hands on History" Episode

I came across the following from the History TV show. They show the making of a table at the A.E. Schmidt factory.

I searched and didn't see any reference to this on AZ.

p.s. Check out the "level" used by the guy at Dave and Busters at the end.

Thanks for posting that. I don't recall ever seeing that before. I have talked to Kurt Schmidt a few times and Fred Schmidt many times.

One of my favorite old cues is an A. E. Schmidt cue made by Lloyd Bennett who was their cue maker many, many years ago. In his later years, he traveled the entire US setting up and recovering Dave & Buster's tables for them. They used A. E. Schmidt tables before..I don't know what they use now.

The cue I bought from them in 1973 was the first cue I ever paid more than $100 for.

You can see it here.

Great tables in 60s

I haven't seen or played on a SCHMITT table since the early 60s but that is what they had in New Orleans action room the Cue Club. Was very good tables, can't believe I haven't seen them since.
