Hanging Lights - Photos

I've got a friend that needed to do some creative light hanging over his pool table. The room has a celing fan that the blades could interfere with the hanging style of the light. So, I told him that he could run eye bolts in the corners of the light and hang it with cables or chains running outward, like a trapazoid.

So, the question, anyone have photos of something similar so I can show him that it doesn't (or does) look too goofy?

One way would to extend a piece of 7/8" Uni-strut(home Depot electrical) either above the ceiling or depending on ceiling construction flush on surface of ceiling and hang 1/8" air craft cables to support light( HD)!
If necessary you could install another piece of strut or suitable material on light itself!

I would have to look at the room physical appearance to make final install installation determinations.

Don't know if this will help but it's what I did to add a light where a ceiling fan had been hanging. The fan was hanging similar to the fan shown in the background.
I could have hung it similar to the way you spoke of but due to the fact that there's windows all the way around the room there's often a breeze through the room. The beam connected to the roof beam eliminates movement of the light.
