hard bumpers...?

Took a look at the Connelly I'm getting set up and the rails seem awfully hard...its a 2002 durango I believe. Are these easy to have replaced? I'm not doing it myself but want to know if there will be any issues. I want pro sized pockets and new cloth too.

I just checked my email and I have been in contact with him. I haven't asked about the bumpers yet.
