Hard Times Sacramento Sept 27th

Results so far???

Before I left, I think Billy Palmer finished 4th, after knocking out Frank Nordman and losing to Trevor Smith. Didn't see who had the hot-seat or who was waiting in the semi's.

Edit: Billy Palmer might have finished 5th or 3rd, I didn't really get a good look at the tournament board.

There are 91 players, $3500.00 added and a bonus olivewood and cocobolo custom cue to the winner - Sorry to say I forget the maker.

Since there was more that 64 it is race to 7 on the winners, race to 5 on the 1-loss.

There are a ton of really strong California and western states players - Jeff Gregory, Billy Palmer, Ed Ames, George Michaels, ... plus the LA contingent and all the stong Sacramento Players.

The extra $20 I gave Tom didn't help my draw. I got trounced by Baby Frank (7-3) and Billy Palmer (5-0). =)

The money matches are tomorrow and there are bound to be some great matchups.

Sounds like they had a GREAT TURNOUT, will it happen again Next YEAR.?

I believe they did mention that this will be an ongoing annual tournament when I was there. They must have about the tightest tournament room tables in the business there.

I finished out in the 7-8 bracket after losing first to Robert "Lights Out" Aldana, (My nickname for him), then finally losing to Jerry Matchen (not sure of his name spelling) from the LA area. The 6 players left when I went out were: Aldana(in the hot seat), Trever Smith, Jeff Heath, Billy Palmer, Jerry Matchen, and 1 other guy????

Not Covered?

I was just looking on this site and found no mention of this excellent tournament on the regular tournament calendar. It seems a little odd that this large of a tournament would not even be mentioned here... except in the forums here... but you guys here seem to never miss a beat.
