Well, it seems to be gone now. This was stolen from FB.

Thanks to Jay Helfert.

I watched one seven-handed golf game on the tough 6x12 snooker table that must have taken three hours.

They had a tournament room with five or six rows of built-in seats on one side.

I see that by 1991 there was a "Hardtimes II" in San Diego. I don't recall having heard of that before.
I don’t recall that either.

There was a big room on the 2nd floor of a building next to downtown SD in the early/mid 80’s that had a big room. I think Chuck had a piece of it or owned it. Right now I can’t recall the name of it, By the mid 80’s most of the action moved over to College Billiards which is still there-kinda ran down now(I was there a few months ago)

Star billiards was in SD as well in the early 90’s

All I can recall right now

The Billiard Tavern was upstairs in downtown S. D. Played there in the 80's when Dick Megivern was running it. About 36 Gold Crowns. Maybe 8 Valley bar tables. One beautiful Kling in a viewing pit. Lots of action. Roger

Yes that’s it! Billiard Tavern, I’d have needed a day or 2 to remember the name.

I went there many times, I was just starting to go out of town to play pool when I stumbled on that room. It looked like it was a hell of a action room, but by 85 the first time I went the room was dying off. Had amazing equipment. I could tell I was a few years too late.

Thanks for the help, I was sitting here thinking and couldn’t come up with the name. I would have, it wasn’t gone-I can tell when I have no chance at remembering something or I have it-just need to dig deep and it will come around. Funny how that works.

Best

My whole family is dead as well. I’m the last survivor. No kids. When Fatboy throws a 7 it’s all over with.

Texas is nice. I lived in San Diego until 75 beat I can recall. I was very young when we moved.I’ve lived all over Ca and lived in Vegas almost 25 years.
