I have been wanting one of Harry's cues for a while now, but he is very hard to get in touch with. So when this cue came available I had to get it. Harry does not make many cues but he makes them right when he does make them. This cue is not for sale but my review is below. Bottom line is,if you find one for sale ....buy it.
Thursday I recieved a beautiful ambonya and birds eye Harry richards cue from Duane Remick(thanks). I have owned cues from many many cue makers, but Harry's work is the cleanest I have ever seen. Most people look at the top of the out side veneer to see if the points are even,which these are dead nuts even, but every veneer and the inside point are dead on as well!!! Veneers are super tight. Intricate ivory inlays into ambonya...no glue lines. Perfectly excecuted lizzard wrap.The finish is smo oth as glass.The feel and balance of this cue are just right for me. Very solid playing cue and the cue ball action is very responsive. Feels like an extension of my arm. I now understand why his cues are so sought after.
