To all I have this cue and have never seen one like it. I am told it is a Helmsetter but yet can not find any catalog containing it. Any help would be apperciated.
I will try to take some clearer photos.

Richard, the cue is a late 1980's Helmstetter cue. I do understand the problems you are having identifying it. When it comes to Helmstetter cues all of the Blue Books including the 3rd Edition are greatly lacking information.

However, I have been a fan of Richard Helmstetter for many years, and your cue screams Helmstetter for the following reasons!!!!

The color schemes used in the veneering in the points, the bumper, the 5/16-18 pin, the classic style windows and rings in the cues butt, are old school designs that Helmstetter used on his cues.

Please also answer the following questions and include additional photo's of the following areas.

Is the stainless steel joint flat faced or piloted ?

What type of attachment is used to hold on the cues bumper?

Please include additional photo's of the cues joint, and the joint end of the shaft.

Please include additional photo's of the bumper / bottom of the cue.

Please post clear and close-up photo's of the forearm, the butt, the wrap/Grip area, and the shaft.

Hope this helps!!!!

Have a good night!!!!!!
