Just curious how the game is before I buy it. Other billiard game attempts have been poor at best. This one gets better reviews. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks.

Rent it first. I rented it the other day. Played it with my son. Its as expected. A Billiard game, nothing more, nothing less. I like it since you can pocket balls easily, play in tourneys etc. I dont like that its to inconsistent when applying english. You will shut off the 'AI' pretty quickly. One thing I like about the game is that you can choose to not view the computers shots. So you can be on full offensive without waiting. Helps finish tourneys quickly.

On a side note, my son (13) played it with me, and he enjoyed it. Since he was able to actually move the balls. It plays better than the previous ones. I really enjoy all billiard games including yahoo and carom3d online. With this one, I found that I could play for a long period of time without getting bored. Since it had a season of tourneys etc, trying to move up the world rankings. My past pool games would get boring too quickly.

IMO

Pool and computer games just don't seem to mix, in my opinion.

Congrats on making the money rounds in Vegas, Cuehunter. :)

That game is a waste of time. PS2, XBOX or PC. They could have done a lot better. Virtual Pool 2/Hall is still tops in my book. By far the best physics in a pool game ever made.

I rented the game and its good not great, I cant seem to use any english when i do i seem to misscue and miss the shot. I like the fact that there are real pro"s such as Efren ofcorse! lol johnny earl fransico. I think overall the game gets a 7

the game could be a good seller if the players all had the personality traits of those you see in your local rooms. there would be your standard arguments and whining over game spots, followed by pushing and shoving, and eventually all out brawls. :):)

What a pool PC game needs is mouse control. Something that puts you in first person view of the shot, you aim the shot and where to hit the cueball, and then use the mouse in a smooth forward and back motion to hit the ball, faster = harder, slower = lighter. The aim of the shot and maintaining the correct english depnds on how straight the back and forth motion of you mouse stroke is. Links, the golf game has a mouse swing motion, the newest version of it in the newest game rocks and actually sort of feels like playing real golf.

Then go and get Virtual Pool 2!! That is EXACTLY how it plays.
