Has anyone tried the ThePro™ Pool Cue, Triad or Barringer ElkDud Tips?

Supposedly Cue Components is “now under new ownership”. I’ve heard from my cue guy that’s not really true, that Toxic Joe is still in control. That this “story” of new ownership is a way of trying to get back a customer base that toxic Joe Barringer alienated one by one with his lies and counterfeit tips. Anyone that buys tips or most anything else from Joe and Cue Components deserves everything they get.
I bought a bunch of his "G2 USA" tips years ago, and I must say they are the best tips I have ever bought. He didn't claim they were real G2s, only that he used the same leather source and tanning process. Haven't dealt with the company in a while.

Well, what any person thinks is the best is subjective, as it’s merely an opinion of their experience. If you feel they were “the best you ever bought”, then perhaps your experiences are limited.

You say he didn’t “claim they were real G2’s”? The very fact that he produced those tips, counterfeited the exact markings and name and reputation of an established company, as well as other companies tips he counterfeited is in fact not only deceitful, but reprehensible. Joe is a liar, a thief, a rancorous and unpleasant individual.

You are right that "the very fact that he produced those tips, counterfeited the exact markings and name and reputation of an established company . . . is in fact not only deceitful, but reprehensible."

It is true, however, that, at least on the Cue Components website, he states that the G2 USA cue tip is NOT G2. See his weird admission copied below of how he has tried to make an identical G2 cue tip. Imagine Preoaidr doing that. Nonetheless, many people buy them thinking they are G2 since they rely on what they see and that the cue tip likely has no packaging with a disclaimer that it is a fake G2.
