Chalker's in Emeryville has changed its name to Broken Rack Billiards.

Simi Valley Billiards on Tapo St. also has a different name, I think. I can't think of what it is though.

Johnny's closed

:(Johnny's Snooker Room was closed the last time I stopped by. Probably 5+years ago
The owners name leaves me now.
Heck of a nice guy. I think he did cue making or repair also.
He did buy some cues from me to sell to the kids.
The last owner that is. I'm sure it had more than one over the years.
It was a real old school downstairs pool room.:clapping:

Others that I have an interest in as well.

In addition what about Mr. Cue's and Cue and Cushion both in Riverside CA.

Would love to know if they are still in business and if anyone had pictures of either place.

Thanks

Kevin

Thanks to everyone for the info.

I'm tracking pool halls with snooker tables. In Riverside I've found two locations:

Shooters Sports & Grill (one 5 x 10, one 6 x 12)
10226 Indiana Ave
Riverside CA
(951) 785-9588

Qbonkers (one 5 x 10 with cloth for Golf)
9364 Magnolia Ave
Riverside CA
(951) 688-4866

Within the next week or two I'll be putting online a list of all U.S. pool halls, rec centers, and other locations I've found with snooker tables. There are about 160. Many of them are in California.

Embassy

Embassy Billiards Club
220 S San Gabriel Blvd, San Gabriel, CA
626-286-8100

It's the pool hall with the most snooker tables that I have seen besides the one in Hong Kong.

South Beach Billiards is no longer. I used to live around the corner from McNally's in Oakland, but I would hardly call it a hall. Its just a bar with one table (it may have even been a bumper pool table) if I remember correctly. I'm pretty sure its still there, but not sure if they still have the table.

Great place.

Napa Billiards is mainly a latino hall now so I don't know if the number has changed. I heard they have a carom table, but seriously doubt they have snooker.

The other hall in Napa is Bilco Billiards, which has 50+ beers available but cheap cloth, no snooker or billiards, and has no player specials.

Embassy Billiards Club
220 S San Gabriel Blvd, San Gabriel, CA

Yup, I definitely have them on my list. When I called Embassy they reported having twelve 6 x 12 tables. Wow. This is by far the highest number of snooker tables at any location in the United States. Prince Snooker Club in NYC has six 6 x 12 tables.

Where did you play in Hong Kong? I've played at General Snooker Club. I poked my nose into another place close by, but I've forgotten the name.

Have you tried either of the snooker shafts from Schuler? I've considered getting one, but I think I'd prefer to get a proper snooker cue.

There is a pool hall call Shooters right off the 5 at Lyons Ave.
On the right going north. In the shopping center passed the Burger king.
I am thinking it is the town of Newhall or Valencia. Not sure.
They have one snooker table.

Snooker/Carom tables in SF Bay Area

Shoreline Billiards in Mountain View, CA, has two snooker tables.

The Palacade in San Francisco has three carom tables.

Shoreline Billiards in Mountain View, CA, has two snooker tables.

Yup, those are on my list. Thanks.

Of the names on my list that I've been calling, I've confirmed that 22 sites in California have at least one snooker table. Not too shabby.

Yup, I have them on my list, and I called them earlier this month to ask what type of snooker table they have.

Shooters
24450 Lyons Ave
Santa Clarita, CA 91321
(661) 287-5888

They have one 5 x 10.

Yes, they're on my list.

They share a snooker league with California Billiard Club, also in Mountain View. CBC has three 6 x 12 tables, one of which has golf cloth.

Romines in Milwaukee, WI has a 12x6 snooker table.
