Have you finally found the perfect cue?

One I got my hands on a Keith Josey cue, I quit looking. Oh, there surely are other great cues out there. But it finally dawned on me...table time is the path to improvement, more so than equipment.

Amen, brotha!

Had it and then like a dumb a$$, I sold it. Looking again...................

Been shooting with my Tim Scruggs for over 10 years. It's not the perfect cue, but the hit feels the best and I feel the most confident shooting with it. The only cue I've tried that felt better was a Jerry Franklin Southwest.

O know you guys are not gonna know what to think of my answer but here goes.

After about 12 years of going through a couple dozen cues...mostly middle to higher priced production cues and a few customs where one was pretty fancy and i sold it Last year for 2,500.00 I wound up with a favorite.

I would not say its perfect bur its the best playing cue.its a cheap premier sneaky Pete that I bought for 25.09 brand new.

I bought it 3 years ago for my trip to Vegas nations where I played the bed I ever have..its still straight as an arrow like the day I bought it. I also play with a meuccie pretty regular after putting a kamui clear soft on it. The premier still has the tip it came with and have been wanting to put a kamui on it also. I just can't see to rationalize putting a tip on a cue that costs more than the cue itself did though

Yes, I am lucky enough to have found my perfect cue early in the process and I've been playing with the same Schon since the early 90s and would NEVER get rid of it.

I had one. It was a Judd Fuller that Judd made specifically for me without me knowing he was doing it, and took a risk that I would like it when he asked me to try it. I bought it after a rack, and I never even thought of playing with something else. But then it was stolen recently. And the search was on.

I have had some awesome cues, and the Merry Widow I have now is fantastic and I am getting a couple more cues from that maker. But they are not the Judd.

Even for Judd it was a little unusual. It was 170z, forward balanced and had a thin handle. It hit so incredibly solid and was neither whippy nor overly stiff.

I actually want to try and recreate it and started a thread for cuemakers who could do it. Have been some suggestions there I need to look into,.

I have a Mcdermott with a G-Core shaft. For me, it really doesn't matter. I play so badly that there is no perfect cue. I've not found one that helps me play any better. Practice is the only thing that helps me with that piece.
