With the schedules that touring pro's have, there's hardly any time to sit down on the internet and read everything. I was just curious if you've heard about this yet and have you formed an opinion? Obviously if you're only now hearing about it, you wouldn't have an opinion on it just yet. ;) Click here to go to the IPT website and check it out. I found the Q & A section to be interesting. Also, in case you miss it... membership fee is $899...it's a lifetime membership & entry fee's into tournaments are supposed to be very cheap. Would you sign up for this, or no?

IPT rules include: all events will be 8-ball (because they say it's a harder game than 9-ball), no shot clocks, and no jump cues.

The only positive feedback from players that I can see are from Mike Sigel and Loree Jon Jones, who are coincidentally the two players chosen by Kevin Trudeau himself to play in his "World 8-Ball Championship".

Wow, that's deep. Thanks for clarifying your stance on the IPT.
I am going to keep an open mind on this.

The money sounds great, slow cloth means if you don't have a stroke= you can't win.

He has no reason to screw us for money. He has more money than every professional pool player combined ! ! !

When we start making some real money is when we will truely be looked upon as professional athletes.

Change in membership rules??

I investigated the site again today - they seem to have removed the lifetime $899 requirement. It states they are taking applications for membership, if you are one of the lucky 150 chosen for the 2006 season, you'll only have to pay $1.00. Apparently the $899 was turning away too many people. IMO - I think the $899 was to prevent non-serious players from signing up. Now that they have seen the lack of reaction - they are opening it up for free, but they are choosing on serious and strong players.
Maybe I'm mistaken - I've been known to be wrong before! Miss you big guy - we'll see you on the 17th!
