Have You Noticed There Are More, Nice Cues?

Gotta ask.......something seems different to me and, I might add, for the better too.

Since the start of 2014, I've observed a much larger number of higher-end collectible cues, i.e., new listings, on the Forum.
Over the last 12-18 months, the trend has been just the opposite with fewer new cue listings and more infrequently as well.

But over the last few months, I've noticed a change in that trend......and there's a lot more cues now.
How can I say for sure....because I've seen 1/2 dozen cues this year I'd like to own and I never even spotted a dozen cues
listed for sale on the Forum during all of 2013 (52 weeks) that I would have liked to own......probably only 8-9 cues in entirety.

Maybe it's the return of Mr. Serdula, or Cleitonrocha & Badbeat13 going nutso with cues but it sure looks like the tide may be turning.

Anyway, just wanted to see if anyone has also noticed this trend, or at least seems so to me?

Sounds like there are just more cues listed on here that you like. I think it is the same ol same ol with an occasional decent cue listed but overall its still who ya know if you really wanna aquire the good stuff vs stuff posted on here thats just passed around anyway. IMO

Yeah, I've noticed...

I agree on the nice cues for sale this year, but this year is only one and one half months old.

Small sample size, so time will tell if there is a turn in this market.

Someone listed a Tasc for 3 dimes that is absolutely haunting me. One of the finest cues I've ever seen, beautiful fancy sneaky .. ok, I need to think about something else.

Or maybe it means that less and less people are playing pool so more and more high end stuff is becoming available because people are moving investments and equipment. By that same token, I think more of us are doing our own repairs and some of them are graduating into cuemaking. So we have a surplus of stuff and fewer players, maybe that's it, ...or not

Quite frankly, I am surprised the wanted/for sale forum hasn't collapsed from carrying all that weight from all those cues that hit a ton.....

There was that Tascarella for $2999....there was a James White gorgeous Hopped that Wesley just sold @ customcues.com for like $2200,
Deanoc had a JMW cue for $2k, Nick Serdula has an incredible Scruggs for like $3100 but I perhaps cash might motivate him a bit...not much
but maybe a bit....Jamie has had some beauties listed at attractive prices....there's a Danny Tibbits cue....when was the last time you saw one
of his cues listed anywhere??? Recently several Robert Harris cues have appeared at great prices and lots of new cue-makers, or new to me.

Anyway, even if it was only reflective of cues that appealed to me....the statistical inference is the trend can be applied to cues in general.......
overall....this thread wasn't intended to be a survey about my taste in cues but rather the overall market outlook. Let's not make this a discussion
about what I like in cues. I simply posted my opinion that things seem to be improving.

Cues are starting to comes forth that are new....not another recycled flip that keep reappearing. I've seen one cue now that within the past 18 months
has had at least 3, but I really think it's 4, different owners, And guess what.... it's up for sale again right now. Nope, I'm talking brand new wares......
new cues, decent prices, and also a better variety of higher-end cues....say $1500 and up.....there's just more of them than before, or so it seemed
to me.......Ergo, my thread. A couple of cue-makers even posted they had banner years in 2013. I think John Barton posted his was also a good one
and in general, I do not think that's just coincidental with what I asking about.

Anyway, let's not engage in negative tangential banter and just try sticking to the thread's point. Do you think the market is starting to get better and improve?
