I have a late 60's Fred Mali cue that my father and I used for years and it gave up on us in the 80's.

It would be the 7th cue from the top of this page. Our cue has a purple wrap and a white butt but everything else is the same as the cue on that webpage. The wrap is purple nylon fishing line.
The cue started to come lose ahead of the wrap area where the points start so we just glued it. Then because of all of the nicks and scraped off finish we put linsead oil on it to give it a smooth finish. That oil gave it a darker finish than was on there before.
Any cue makers out there want to see about making this cue right. Is it possible to find the same wrap material. Fix the broken area and make me a shaft that matches the ring on the butt end. Can the linsead oil be taken off to get down to the original color of the cue.
