Heads up Maryland collectors

I went and it seemed to be more resellers than collectors. They sold some of those dealer type cases ( holds maybe 20cues,40 shafts) and 1 guy purchased 5 0f them and he filled 3with cue that nite. they were cue purchased for $ 100.00-$200.00(production cues ,McDerm., Viking, Mali, etc.) that maybe on Ebay shortly. The buy of the nite may have been by a nice young guy from north Jersey,a Ariel Carmeli cue with a Ivory points and listed as unsigned and unknown for $375.00. It was a odd selling cycle as some cues sold for $200.00-$300.00 range early and the same types sold toward the end of the evening for $60.00. At the end of the auction butts were selling up to $150.00 ( Frey & Sly without shafts). I got a Jerry Rauenzahn 6 points with 27 Ivory inlays and 2 shafts for $350.00. I got the Richard Black 1981 for $700.00 (more than I wanted to pay, but I got in a bidding war with another guy and it's a Richard Black that I plan to keep not resell). All in all it was a interesting nite.

Thanks for the update...

I am quite surprised that the cues sold for so cheap. I figured all the buyer reseller would raise the prices up bidding against each other. Congratulation on the Richard Black. I guess I should have taken my chances, since they went for as little as they did. Oh well, to late now.

I checked out those pics a week ago and spied an early Lambros, wonder who snagged it...and for how much....please do tell

I would be interested in a couple of the dealer cases. What sizes do you have and how much?

Nova Blud MickyDs Frey Jackson few Peaches All will be for sale but Nova and Blud. Just looking for a small profit.

Good to know I steered some of you well. To tell the truth, if this had been close to home, I wouldn't have given the heads up.

I guess the original collector found out that he couldn't take them with him.

Wish I could have been there.

There was no searing at this auction

That was a Sly butt his early S only mark. No cue at this auction brought more that the black. So other poster wasnt there I have every price.

more auction cue listed

I just notice that one of the other Rauenzahn cues is now being offerred. Also the Shurtz 02 and a Schon. At this time of a economic low in my pocket I should be selling my cues instead of buying. When I remember what you paid and see what you are asking I realize I'm on the wrong end of this deal. Don't get me wrong. I'm not MAD, just upset that I'm so stupid to be putting money OUT and not taking any money IN. Congrats to all of you guys that are sellers and best of luck with your offerings and don't forget that as long as I'm still out here, you got an opportunity to make money!!!!!!!!

I'm #1, I'm#1, I'm#1

Toby, thanks for letting everybody know I'm#1. I paid the most for any cue at the auction, the "BLACK". I'm#1, I'm#1, I'm#1 WAIT, WAIT, that not the best way nor reason to obtain the title of #1. I guess it would be much better to be thinking with a whole Brain.(just having a little XMAS fun,and i'm very pleased with the "BLACK"). I went to the auction with the"Black" as the #1 cue I wanted and the Rauenzahn as #3. I got them both. The Burl wood Rauenzahn was my #2, lost out on that. Toby as I told you n my PM, if I had done my homework better, I would have been fighting your DAD for the LAMBROS. That enough venting and humor tonight, let me wish all AZer's happy holidays whichever you follow and honor. Today's my birthday so if any of you guys want to give me a present of a super good deal on a great cue please feel free to do so. Thanks BILL LEWIS
