Hearing Aids

63 years old. Went to the YMCA and got Hearing Test 4 years ago. Signed up on Miracle Ear and paid the $6000. Made life much better. Bluetooth to IPhone and can alter to suit audience and adjust volume levels too. Pretty Cool Actually. Hooked on them now and a MUST. Moisture CREATES ISSUES. Sweating is a No No. I have had to replace them once at no charge. I remove them when doing chores. Now that I know proper care, it is normal life
Thanks for reminding me. I need to remove mine if I will be breaking a sweat. 👍

The most important factor is seeing the correct audiologist with a PHD or you’re wasting time/money. Forget Miracle Ear and franchises. They’ll sell the most expensive set with no regard to your hearing loss. Nobody can tell you what the best brand is. One size does not fit all. The brand/type you get depends on the outcome of the hearing test. Please research the person you use. If you have a bad experience you’ll never wear the hearing aids or get new ones. The proper professional audiologist will have you come back 2-3 x’s to see how you are doing in case adjustments are required. And service after the sale is everything

Is the 6K for a continuing program or the cost of the 1st pair I assume you still use?

I now have my 2nd pair due to the moisture issue. I continue to visit every 3 months for checkups. Once a year i have a new hearing test, Their is no additional costs

Mine are Bluetooth. Work like a champ with most new mobile phones. Conversations sound better. Listen to iTunes privately.

A very young 80 here and had hearing aids for about 3 years. Mine are all-inclusive in my ear canals. Adjust by tapping on my ear to change programs or use my phone. Rechargeable and high quality. Recommended by an audiologist. The cost was $3,000 less a 20% military discount. The only drawback has been that I now hear every word my wife says.

When I was 12 years old my mother had hearing in only one ear and a hearing aid in her glasses. When ever I wanted to protest a decision she would reach up and flip the battery holder to turn off the aid. Well she didn't really disengage the battery. I learned that the hard way. She had flipped the switch and turned her back indicating discussion over. I uttered a bad word.....uh oh! Guess I wasn't big enough to use that word. 🤷‍♂️
